My Plan:
To shoot in a alley and then edit a portal with Rick and Morty coming out of it and edit it to where it looks not to edited.
Shoot:
I went downtown and I wanted to base the picture off of a part of the show and so I got the trash can in the corner of it and then got the road and the rest of the alley in the background.
For this shoot I went downtown and I took some pictures of a Alley and then later went back and found the picture of Rick and Morty that I wanted then put it into the photo and made it blend into the building. Then when I was editing the photo I made it black and white because I liked the look of it more than when it is in color. I made the green and yellow of the portal stand out more. And made the background of the photo black.
For this photo I wanted to take pictures of a alley way and then edit it to look like one of the episodes in Rick and Morty but I didn't have enough time to edit and I just didn't like the way it looked so last minute I went with this and then made the photo black and white. I was upset because it didn't turn out as good as I thought it would. If I had more time I feel like I could make the photo look better in the editing phase. Or at least edit more photos and see what else I could do to make the photo better. I love how the texture in the photo stands out and just adds to the photo. I tried to make it look 3D and like they were coming out of the portal and I did so with Morty but not so much Rick and I just don't like the final product. I saw something completely different in my head and didn't follow through. It helped me learn and taught me other stuff like maybe in the past I print the picture I want and I draw the cartoon characters in or I print them out and cut them and glue them onto the actual photo. I think that would add way more to the photo and bring more attention to the cartoon part of the photo. You always have to have a bad one and learn from it and that is exactly what happened in this assignment. I do like the white around the portal and it adds to the photo. Also the darkness of the background adds. In the original photo there was a car driving and I didn't like it so I tried to make the background dark and get rid of the car and that is exactly what happened.
